Care
Materials & build
Our jewelry is solid 14k gold (never plated) with a high-polish, skin-safe finish. Settings are low-profile for daily comfort; posts and hinges are engineered for smooth insertion and a secure fit.
Gemstones
We use ethically sourced stones set with prongs or bezel. Hard gems (diamond/sapphire) are everyday-ready; softer/porous stones (opal, turquoise, pearl, emerald) need gentler care (see cleaning).
Fit & wear
Choose sizes recommended by your piercer. For threadless ends, a slight bend in the pin creates tension; check security weekly. Hinged and seam rings are delicate—open with a twist (never pull apart).
Care & cleaning
- Daily: rinse after showers/working out; pat dry.
- Routine clean: mild soap + soft brush, then rinse and dry.
- Avoid: chlorine pools/hot tubs, harsh chemicals, ultrasonic cleaners for opal, turquoise, pearl, emerald.
- Polishing: use a non-abrasive gold cloth on metal only (not over stones).
- Storage: separate pouch/compartment to prevent scratches.
Piercing safety
Gold is best for healed piercings. For new piercings, use implant-grade titanium or solid 14k gold that meets professional standards—ask your piercer.
Repairs & maintenance
We can tighten stones, adjust threadless tension, and service hinges. If something feels loose, stop wearing and contact us.
